Theoretically, you should be able to triangulate from this sign to figure out where I am -- assuming the mileage figures are accurate. So can you make a guess?
I'm 619 miles from Cleveland, 7368 miles from Tianjin and 4270 miles from Amsterdam. To help you out (in case you can't read it) I'm also 8100 miles from Guam. I'm not even sure where Guam is. But that's what it says.
One thing you can tell for sure. I am not in the snowbelt.
And . . . not to stereotype or anything, but I'm in the South.
I'm about ten miles outside Charleston, SC, where the weather these days is . . . well, it's a lot better than home, but with a high in the 60s it's more playground weather than beach weather. But that good. We are visiting grandchildren, and spending more time at the playground than the beach. Some grandparents -- the lucky ones -- live near their grandkids and get to see them all the time. But our kids moved away. So we have to go find them.

Enjoy yourself Tom. 60 sounds like a heat wave to me up in the frozen North.

Ah but when you do find them, it is more special than if you just saw them yesterday. Treasure the moments.
That sure is a colorful truck! Well, I was going to say Charleston before you gave it away, but only because I know you have grandchildren there. I wish I could be there too, you're probably about 10 minutes from my sister's house! Hope you enjoy the warm temps and family, Tom. 👍
Hi Tom! I was guessing North Carolina until you said South. But it definitely looks on the cool side. Enjoy your visit and time with family. And don't be afraid to take a few risks and adventures while you are at it. As you recently said, "we miss 100% of the shots we don't take!" ~Kathy
Both my kids moved away...one to Chicago. They wanted to roam and I encouraged them to do so. After all Mom and dad had been around.
Our grandchildren are at a distance too. We look forward to going to find them.
Red -- I think it's the conundrum of parenthood. We want our kids to go out into the world and find their opportunities. But then we regret that they didn't stay close to home. The silver lining is that we get to travel to go see them.
If you want real warmth, last I heard, it's supposed to hit 90 for the Super Bowl today. Of course, the cheap seats are $7,000 and parking (a mile away) another seven, but, hey, at least it'll be warm.
Please read my post
How sweet! I am glad that you and B are enjoying your grandkids. Nice photos!
Sounds like the fun. The beach at any time of year is always a nice way to pass the time. Of course, I'm saying that from California. LOL
Enjoy grandchildren time - wherever you are!
Spending time with family is wonderful.
This sounds divine, Tom! Jacket weather and time with the grandkids. Heaven, no matter the location!
