This is the first time I've been to Florida since before the pandemic. As I sit here staring at the ocean, I don't have much to say. So I thought I'd just share a moment of peace and tranquility -- the kind you get staring across the sand as the waves roll in -- for anyone who can't get to the beach this winter. Enjoy!

I am not sure if I should thank you for that. 🤪
I needed a calming visual this morning.
Whenever I'm sitting on an ocean beach watching the waves, I'm using singing the words to Shawn Mullins' song Twin Rocks Oregon.
Going to sit here and rest
And maybe wait on the
Tokyo-montana express
I might just lay here
And dream my life away
I'm going to sit right here,
I'm going to watch the sun
Disappear into the ocean
Tom, this is my favorite type of video. I took many videos of the waves crashing onto the lava beaches on Oahu... and listen to them occasionally here at home, imagining myself there again breathing in that fresh ocean air. Thank you for sharing this... and enjoy!
Delightfully calming. Thanks.
Those waves are tame. Our waves are now 30 feet and higher. Big surf competition tomorrow for the fearless.
Ed, Not familiar with that song, but I like Shawn Mullins so I'll check it out, because you know everything's gonna be aright. Gigi, I think I'd find 30 foot waves scary, not peaceful!
Just lovely. Thanks.
What great timing! I was just looking, an hour ago, at beach side hotels in Florida while wishing for a little warm beach time.
I love the ocean Tom. Nothing like it to soothe the jangled nerves and toss off earthly cares.

Oh, dear. I have been in Florida since mid November -- a three mile bike ride from the beach and I have not been once! When we first started coming to Florida, we went to the beach every single day.
Thank you. I miss the ocean.
Havent been to a beach in some time. Missing the quiet and rhythm.
Gigi is right. We just had the Eddie Aikau Big Wave Invitational. Everybody on the island was paying attention to the 50 ft waves.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying your vacation in Florida.
