They Say It Better

Last time we went on vacation my wife B and I went shopping in one of those tourist malls.

We wandered around several shops with their aromatic soaps and candles, their throw pillows, scatter rugs, t-shirts and inspirational cards and books.

Surprisingly, I found some pretty good quotes and life lessons scattered among the various displays of goods and wares.

Which one is your favorite saying?

Normally mine would be along the lines of "something to look forward to."

But these days I'm more relaxed, content to let the time go by, and I'm more inclined toward the "sand in your toes" or "enjoy the ride" philosophy.

Soon enough we'll be back out in the world, seeing old friends, meeting new people, engaging in our regular activities and embarking on new adventures.

But for now, let's just relax and enjoy the day . . .

And not lose our perspective or self-confidence.

But don't rely on me. The gift shops say it better.

The grand essentials of happiness by a. k. chalmers is a quote I look at daily by the kitchen sink.

Great sayings all. My favorite among those is probably "Go where you feel the most alive"... in my case a quiet place by water.

I want someone to love. You only notice how empty life becomes when someone you love has gone from it.

Well I'd have to pick the coffee one! Cute and thought provoking sayings.

I love quotes of all kinds. You have shared some good ones and I am having a hard time choosing a favorite. I think I best relate to "Happiness is sand in your toes and a shell in your pocket". I am ready to do just that!

Thanks MM, and now I had to look up Allan K. Chalmers. Actually, for accuracy's sake the quote is: "The grand essentials of happiness are: something to do, something to love and something to hope for."

Hi Tom! I love those signs too and actually have a few of them. I also take photos of the best ones when we go in those little shops. Good reminders for sure and my favorite of your in the Pineapple one, because who can't use a crown right now!?! ~Kathy

I kind of feel if you have something to look forward to you automatically have the other two.
Less profound I like "I dusted once, it came back. Won't catch me doing that again."

Patti -- Ha ha. B has a pillow that says: "Yes I cleaned. I swept the room with my eyes."

I'm looking forward to a time when I can browse in shops that display these signs.

A couple more that I like:

This one I saw in a market in Bali "Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway".

Another was "Everyone smiles in the same language".

I love the coffee and wine and not all who wander are lost. They're all great! And so pinnable!

Go where you feel most alive is my favorite. Also 'those who wander are not always lost' is an old standby!

I loved all of them, but maybe it’s because I’m from Hawaii that I like the last one best.

Am so happy to testify about a great spell caster that helped me when all hope was lost for me to unite with my ex-girlfriend that I love so much. I had a girlfriend that love me so much but something terrible happen to our relationship one afternoon when her friend that was always trying to get to me was trying to force me to make love to her just because she was been jealous of her friend that i was dating and on the scene my girlfriend just walk in and she thought we had something special doing together, i tried to explain things to her that her friend always do this whenever she is not with me and i always refuse her but i never told her because i did not want the both of them to be enemies to each other but she never believed me. She broke up with me and I tried times without numbers to make her believe me but she never believed me until one day i heard about the DR. EMU and I emailed him and he replied to me so kindly and helped me get back my lovely relationship that was already gone for two months.
