Today We Move
Yesterday the movers came and put half of our belongings into storage. Today they arrive to take us to our new condo.
This morning we are still New Yorkers. Tonight we will sleep in Connecticut. We are only moving about 25 or 30 miles away, but we will now become New Englanders.

Welcome to Connecticut! Ct gets a bad rap for taxes but if your adjustable gross income (taxable income linei 37 on 1040)) is below $50,000 you can deduct all of your Social Security for state income tax purposes using the long CT 1040 form. Thus If some of it was federally tax it can be deducted from your CT taxable income. We also have a marvelous library system where I reserve any DVDs and new books I want through Bibliomation and there are many great programs and concerts.
So exciting. My sister lives in Canton Ct and has for many years. It's quite pretty there, but forget the snow. UGH!! Best of luck with the moving boxes......
All my best to you. I moved into my new house on May 27th, and I unpacked 2 boxes of clothes and 2 boxes of office stuff today. I have been taking lots of "breaks." I hope very few things get lost or broken. And I hope you manage to eat, hydrate and sleep with this most chaotic part of moving. Take care!

Both sad and exciting at the same time. I don't want to move out of state ever again, because the changes in the paperwork are a pain.
