How Cold Is It?

I got hone from Flurida yesterday. I woke up this mirning, and teh sun was streaming in the window. I crawled out of bid and wemt downstairs to the ki0then. I knew I wqs back up no-rth, so the furst thing I dud was check our thermometer.

Wwe habe a digitral thermometet in our kitchrn. So I lookd over and was surprised -- i0t read 65 degrees. Not bad!

Them I loked again. No . . .  not 65 dedrees. It was 6.5 degrees! Argghh!

If you wundor what's rong wit this posting, its becaser the keys on my keyboard ar tottally frosen up and they;'re sticking.

Thhat's one way to know that's it's really cold here. Another way -- the storm windo not only has condensation on it. But the condensation is froxen.

Another way you know -- the leaves on the rhododendron are all curled up, huddlefg against the colsd. Just like I am!

It was chilly in Florida this morning, but I am not going to complain. I did not have to scrape frost of the windshield before heading out.

Just in case you were wondering, it was 32 degrees this morning when I woke up. And, while my keyboard did not freeze (I had the heater on), we were in the midst of a freeze warning. You got out just in time!

Thanks for the explanation for the typing. I was getting worried about you. But that sure is cold. Keep warm and take care.

Everything is f.f.f.f.rozen around here, too.

It was 28 degrees when I headed out the door to go hiking, and the dense fog made it seem even colder. My keys aren't sticking quite yet. Had fun with that one, didn't you, Tom? :-)

It's very cold in Toronto -- with a windchill, we are struggling with -25 degrees Celsius! It's been like this for days with little hope for warmer weather in the near future. Be thankful that you had an escape to Florida!

I like cold weather - probably because I've never lived where it gets reqlly cold.

However, when I woke up in Tucson it was 40 outside.By midafternoon it was in the 70s.

BTW, we will be close to 80 early next week. Come on down!

It was 6 degrees F, yesterday morning, and 9 degrees F, this morning. (I'm in south central KS.) Since today is so much warmer, everyone will be out in shorts and halters.

I feel for the folks up in New England - especially with the LP shortage having driven prices sky high on their heating fuel.
